"FABLADY OF THE WEEK"

Hello Beauties and Cuties I'm back again with another post. I know its been a couple of days but my mind has been all over the place...anywho. I've come up with the idea to present different women who represent various genres in the fashion industry. This week I'm presenting Ms. Yohonna Johnson M.U.A. the lady behind 78faces and we had a small chat n chew about the business....lol!!!

How long have you been doing makeup?
"I've been doing makeup for over 6 years. Professionally 2 years."

Do you have any formal training or did you just watch and learn?
"I haven't had any formal training, but I would always watch my grandmother put on her face as a child and I was fascinated."

What are some of your favorite products?
"MAC Paintpot in "Painterly", NYX "Eyeshadow base", I LLOOOOOOVVVEEEE MAC Brush #266 (Angle brush), MAC Expresso eyeshadow ( to fill-in brows), MAC Studio-fix fluid foundation, For lips my favorite Red is "Temptation" by Remel-London (Its a DEEP BOLD RED), my favorite blush is by MAC and its called "Peach twist" and it compliments EVERY skin tone, and you can't go wrong with NYX black eye pencil."

What inspired you to become a make-up artist?
"Well when I was deciding whether to purse a MUA career or not, there was a wonderful person by the name of Michelle C. of Kissable Lips Cosmetics that was always there to offer advice and critique my work. She not only has a successful company, but she is as humble as she is beautiful. She is one of the reasons I started to grab hold of my dream and make it a reality."

What advice would you give to someone wanting to pursue a MUA career?
"First off you have to ask GOD for guidance. Once you've received your conformation hook up with positive and helpful people in the business who will be willing to answer your questions, give you constructive critiques. and even let you shadow them at shoots, weddings, and other major events."
